As MLB enters the dog days of summer, New York sports bettors are paying close attention to their beloved Yankees and Mets. At the same time, the NFL regular season is only two weeks away. This is the perfect time for sports bettors to consider opening a new sports betting account. If they want to visit Pointsbet Sportsbook, they'll find that the operator has a very nice welcome bonus awaiting them. Here are some of the key terms and conditions tied to the Pointsbet Welcome offer.
The current Pointsbet Welcome bonus started on May 8, 2023, and it's scheduled to run as is until November 4, 2023. During the bonus period, new customers can earn bonuses by placing a series of sports bets. New customers can use the bonus code "WELCOME" with their first deposit to get started. The promo works as follows.
On the first day after opening their account, a new customer can place a fixed odds wager on any available sports betting market at any odds. If that first qualifying bet loses, the new customer will get a refund of 100% of the value of their bet up to a maximum refund of $100. Additionally, they will get the opportunity to claim the same refund over the next nine (9) consecutive days of wagering. If they miss a day, the promo offer will not be applicable for that day.
All of these refund bonuses will be paid in the form of bonus bet vouchers. The vouchers can be used on any available sports betting market at any odds with one caveat. Bonus bet vouchers must be redeemed within seven (7) days from the date of issuance. Failure to do that will result in the applicable voucher expiring without any kind of residual value.
If a bonus recipient uses their free voucher on a winning sports bet, they will be paid the net winnings, which does not include the bonus bet amount. Once they are paid, they will be permitted to withdraw the full amount of winnings at any time.
This offer is being extended to new Pointsbet New York customers only. They must be at least 21 years old to register and be in the state of New York when they register and place wagers. Pointsbet is required by NY law to use the latest geo-tracking technology to verify the location of all of the operator's customers with no exceptions.
