With less than a week until the sports betting windows in Missouri open, the competition for new customers has grown intense. The first shot fired by a licensed online sports betting operator has come from BetMGM. The operator has announced its initial bonus menu, hoping to start claiming its fair share of new customers. The bonus menu includes a lucrative welcome bonus, followed by a nice variety of extra bonus options.
There is nothing like a lucrative welcome bonus to get things started between an online sports betting operator and its new customers. That's not lost on management at BetMGM, an operator that has a reputation for marketing big bonus offers.
The Welcome Bonus being offered to first-time customers in Missouri is quite interesting and potentially lucrative. To claim this bonus, new customers will have to complete BetMGM's short registration process. To do that, they will need to be physically located within the state's boundaries and be able to offer proof of age. The minimum age requirement is 21 years old. They will also need to make a minimum deposit of $10 to get started.
After completing the registration process, new customers can proceed to claim BetMGM's Welcome Bonus Offer. They will get one of two returns. After making their initial bets, they will receive a bonus bet of $150 should that initial bet be a winning bet. If that initial bet loses, the customer will get a 100% bet rebate of up to $1,500.
In both cases, the bonus money will not be considered cash until the bonus recipient has fulfilled a 1x rollover or play-through requirement. Bettors will have 30 days to complete these requirements.
After claiming and using the Welcome Bonus package, new customers can expect to get access to a nice list of intermittent bonus offers and betting options. While these types of offers and betting options are subject to change, here is the initial list of the potential offerings that could be available to newly established customers:
Barring unexpected events, legal retail and online sports betting are expected to start in Missouri at 12:01 am local time on December 1, 2025. Effective November 17, 2025, licensed (permanent & temporary) operators were permitted to start accepting new customers in preparation for the launch.
At the time of this article, Missouri residents have five days to get ready to place their first legal bets in the state. There is still plenty of time for residents to shop the 10 or so licensed online sports betting operators to find the right sports betting home.
