Fanatics Sportsbook Arrives in Arizona

April 9, 2024

This article is dated April 9, 2024, content related to promotions is no longer valid. Any promotion described below has expired.

It took less than a year for Fanatics to complete the acquisition of the U.S.-based assets from PointsBet. PointsBet is an Australian-based online gambling operator that decided to sell its assets to Fanatics and get out of the U.S. sports betting market.

At the time of the acquisition, Fanatics announced they would be temporarily closing some U.S. operations while allowing others to continue under the PointsBet brand. They made this decision based on the company's intention to develop and roll out a new sports betting platform as well as add an online casino option. Mission accomplished.

With the new online gambling platforms officially out of beta testing mode, Fanatics has aggressively been setting its product in one state after another. Arizona sports bettors now have access to the Fanatics sports betting platform.

Fanatics Sportsbook Arrives in Arizona

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, Management at Famatics Betting and Gaming announced the company is now accepting bets in Arizona. This was achieved through a partnership with the Tonto Apache Tribe. The Tribe owns and operates the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino near Payson, AZ.

In a press release, Ari Borod, Chief Business Officer of Fanatics Betting & Gaming stated:

“We are thrilled to partner with the Tonto Apache Tribe and Mazatzal Hotel & Casino to bring the Fanatics Sportsbook to Arizona. Arizona is a state with tons of options for sports fans, from baseball to hockey to golf to football to racing, making it the ideal destination for the most rewarding online sportsbook.”

It's noteworthy that 18 is the magic number with this partnership. Arizona becomes the 18th state in which Fanatics is now operating. They also became the 18th licensed sports betting operator that's available to Arizona residents.

According to Tonto Apache Tribal Chairman Calvin Johnson, he and tribe members are very pleased to get involved with a top sports betting operation like Fanatics. He certainly looks forward to the potential financial benefits that will be bestowed on the tribe from sports betting revenue and profits.

What's New At Fanatics?

Since PointsBet was not operating in Arizona, Fanatics comes to the market as a fresh-face in the market. They bring with them important new innovations that customers should really enjoy.

The first up of new innovations is the FanClub Rewards program. After registering to be part of the program, members will become eligible to receive up to 5% of their sports betting losses. The rebates will be issued in "FanCash," which can be used to place bonus bets.

Another great innovation will allow customers to personalize their platform home landing pages. The customized information will include the customer's favorite betting sports, favorite pro and college teams, and betting preferences. This kind of access should make it easier for customers to place bets and gather important betting information.

Note: The Fanatics sports betting platform will be available via standard web browsers by PC users. There is a dedicated sports betting app that is fully compatible with the iOS and Android operating systems.
