Securing a mobile sports betting license in New York is not an easy thing to do. The fact that the New state government is taxing sports betting operators at a rate of 51% on gross betting revenue doesn't help. However, there are a few top operators that have shown a willingness to wage into the New York sports betting water. That includes a new entrant in Fanatics Sportsbook, an operator that enters the market with the following "Welcome Bonus" offer in tow.
The current Welcome Bonus for new customers in NY is scheduled to keep on running until the operator's management decides to make a change. To get access to this Welcome Bonus promo, NY residents over the age of 20 will need to register with Fanatics Sportsbook and make a minimal deposit of $5 within the next 7 days.
After getting through these initial requirements, new customers can make their first sports bet. After they make that first bet at minimum odds of -200, they will be entitled to receive a bonus bet of equal value. Even better, they can continue collecting matching bonus bets for the next consecutive 9 days. That means that the highest bonus amount that any new customer can earn is $1,000 in bonus bets. If they miss a day, the eligibility for bonus bets ends with the last qualifying bet.
All bonus bets will be awarded to new customers within 72 hours after they have earned the right to them. Once their bonus bets have been posted, they will only have 7 days to use them before they expire. If by chance a bonus bet becomes a winning bet, the Net Winnings will be paid to the new customer as cash directly into their Fanatics wagering account. At that point, the new customer is free to withdraw their cash.
Note: Net Winnings will not include the original amount of the bonus bet. That portion will be returned to the operator.
When going through the registration process and subsequently placing sports bets, NY customers are required to be in the state, using designated NY IP addresses. It will be up to Famatics management to verify customer locations, something they are able to do by using geo-tracking software.
At no point will Fanatics allow its employees or its employee's friends and household residents to participate in this or any other bonus offer that's listed on the operator's bonus menu.
