Review of PointsBet Welcome Offer in Pennsylvania

February 21, 2023

This article is dated February 21, 2023, content related to promotions is no longer valid. Any promotion described below has expired.

With the start of a new year, PointsBet took the opportunity to change its Welcome Offer across all states. That includes the state of Pennsylvania. With lots of sports betting operator competition in PA, it's useful for prospective new sports bettors to know some of the details related to each operator's welcome offer before settling on a sports betting home. For the benefit of PA residents, here is some info on the current PointsBet Welcome Offer.

The current version of the PointsBet Welcome offer was introduced in September of 2022. It is scheduled to expire on March 1, 2023. That leaves less than two weeks for new customers to claim this offer, something they can do without having to opt-in. What they will need to do is make an initial deposit and a first fixed-odds sports bet at any odds on any available sports betting market.

The available bonuses are bonus bets that can be earned by placing losing bets. It starts with the first bet. If that first bet loses, PointsBet will cover that bet with a new bonus bet calculated at 100% of the qualifying bet up to a max bonus of $100. Over the next four (4) days, the same offer is available under the exact same terms and conditions. That's five (5) days in a row that PointsBet will give rebates to cover the first qualifying losing bet made each day. Again, the rebates will only be issued to cover losing bets.

Upon receiving any of these bonuses as a bonus bet, new customers/bonus recipients will have to use the bonus bet vouchers within the allotted time. If they should fail to do that, they will lose access to the bonus bet voucher as it expires. If a bonus recipient places a winning bet with their bonus bet voucher or vouchers, they will be entitled to receive the net winnings as cash. That's cash that they can withdraw at their discretion.

PointsBet will have complete control over this offer over the entire promo period. That allows them to change or remove the offer as management sees fit.

Before participating, PA residents must register with the operator. To do that, they have to meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years old. They will also be limited to accessing the PointsBet website from inside the state's legal boundaries. Tracking software is being employed by PointsBet to track the location of its customers.
