The popular online poker website Pokerstars is reaching out to some potentially unlikely sources for sponsorship deals. It was a surprise announcement when the company stated that they would sign up Kevin Hart as a sponsor for their site.
This comes as the company has had a host of departures of some sponsors that they had been relying on in the past. These individuals left the company due to a variety of reasons, but other celebrities like Kevin Hart are now ready to step up.
Pokerstars put out a video with Kevin Hart and Usain Bolt together playing poker. It is actually a pretty funny ad that is worth checking out. It appeals to the fan bases of both men. Twitter was lighting up with people commenting on just how funny it is.
Kevin Hart is a brilliant comedian that Pokerstars is willing to utilize for his talents. They see clearly that he is someone who is willing to do just about anything to get the laugh from the audience. This is why the company has now put him in a series of tutorial videos for beginner poker players. They might find advice from him about the game a little easier to digest when they are first learning the basics.
The videos show Kevin Hart explaining to new players some of the things to do or not to do at the poker table when they first sit down. There is a lot of humor to it of course, but the tips are useful to someone who really is just starting out.
Using Kevin Hart in their videos is a good way for Pokerstars to try to attract more causal or recreational players. That is their goal at the moment as they want to expand upon their base of players while at the same time keep the game fun for everyone. Having too many professionals on a site can suck some of the fun out of the game as they consistently win time and time again.
Pokerstars is making moves that are different from what they have done in the past. It just might pay off for them in the long run.
