Party Poker Partners with Comedian Kevin Hart

April 17, 2020

There is always a party at Party Poker, but things just livened up. Party Poker announced in a recent news release that it has signed a partnership with Kevin Hart. The popular star of films like Night School and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle will become one of the celebrity spokesmen for the Party Poker brand.

Hart and Rob Yong, one of the primary owners of Party Poker, have been friends for some time. Both of them have a love for poker, and Hart and Yong are eager for online poker to gain more acceptance throughout the United States.

Kevin Hart stated that players can "expect the world of poker to get a lot more fun." Hart is known for his comedic prowess. "I'm here to make it a party," Hart said in response to the Party Poker announcement. There has been no announcement on how Hart will participate, but many expect the comedian to show up at the poker tables.

Hart is a fan of the game. For many years he has advocated for poker and online poker websites. He will now be able to take a proactive role in helping shape the online poker landscape in the United States.

The actor is the first major celebrity to become affiliated with an online poker site since individual states have begun to legalize online gambling. There are multiple states which now permit online poker, and others have legislation that is pending. As a result, the popularity of poker has been given a large boost.

Rob Yong said that Kevin Hart is the "highest stakes amateur poker player." Yong indicated that Hart's poker ability as well as his passion for the game would help attract new poker players to the online platform. Hart will likely participate in tournaments as well as occasional cash games.
