2015 will bring us PokerStars final launch in New Jersey

Amaya CEO David Baazov has recently revealed the plans for the company. New Jersey could be finally hosting the world’s main poker room. Baazov has told investors about PokerStars’ launch in New Jersey for third quarter of 2015 (Q3). He has also revealed some other goals for the company to achieve within the next five years, like the expansion that company is going for to double PokerStars’ online poker network; he first wants the company to get into new markets, as well as developments and improvements; marketing strategies like promotions and new poker products like Spin & Go, are part of PokerStars new face for 2015. The company wants to enter regulated US markets like California’s and Pennsylvania’s, but these two states are still struggling with house bureaucracy, trying to pass bills for any form of online gambling legislation. The company has identified better opportunities in the international markets like the ones from Asia or South America.

Amaya is also aware of strong competitors like the Daily Fantasy Sports market, which is growing at a very fast pace. Amaya’s CEO, David Baazov, has commented: “We are a poker-first business and will build upon and leverage the popularity of our poker brands and our operational excellence to deliver future growth. As it relates to New Jersey, I would say that we feel that this is coming…we would expect to receive and launch in the next quarter. PokerStars intends to continue to grow its core poker business through geographic expansion, new and innovative marketing campaigns, including exciting global celebrity endorsements and promotions, and continued innovation in games and technology to improve the consumer experience and attract new players to the game and our other offerings. Thus far, we have seen cross-sell rates and revenue yields above our expectations, with a significant majority of the casino spend coming from new deposits to the platforms. We anticipate the launch of sports betting in certain markets in the coming days with an expansion across the network to take place through the first half of 2015. We have completed our transformation into an online consumer technology leader in 2014 with the successful integration of Poker Stars and Full Tilt into Amaya. We would expect to receive [regulatory approval] and launch, I would say, in the next quarter”.
