US online gambling ban could be back in business, even when a majority is trying its best to create regulated online gambling markets in several of the US states. The online gambling ban that froze the market for several years since the 2007 Black Friday's case, only showed publicly that the federal government was operating in behalf of some other interests. Six years after the Black Friday, the US states that have been always part of the history of gambling in the United States (Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey) came up with the new legislation to launch once again this successful industry. However, the country has several characters like Sheldon Adelson, chairman of casino and resort company Las Vegas Sands Corporation, who has been opposing different civil movements in the country like the crusade against Obama during the presidential campaign, Israel campaign's against Pakistan and now, the Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling.
This new US anti-online gambling campaign has been created by the different religious groups and conservative organizations in the United States that are still fighting against the country's development and freedom, always in their religious obsolete way. Unfortunately, the history of the United States has proven us that these groups are still very powerful, as they all tend to get the support and funds from politicians and public figures. Up to now, 39 organizations have signed up to be part of this US anti-online gambling campaign group to restore the internet gambling ban, under the concept "broad-based coalition”, still wants us to be scare of the threats posed by online gambling, one of the most foolish ideas if we think that the states are trying to regulate the industry to prevent these types of threats.
From the list with the 39 new members, we can easily see that most of them are just religious organizations that are still under the belief that religion can still run a country: American Principles Project, Catholic Advocate, Center for Civic Virtue, Common Sense Virginia, Concerned Women for America, Corporate Whistleblower Center, Denver Institute of Urban Studies, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Virginia, Faith and Freedom Coalition of California, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Delaware, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Florida, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Michigan, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Ohio, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Oklahoma, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Oregon, Faith and Freedom Coalition of South Carolina, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Texas, Faith and Freedom Coalition of Wisconsin, Friendship Baptist Church of Christ Jesus, Frontiers of Freedom, Indiana American Family Association, Let Freedom Ring, Liberty Counsel, Lighthouse Missionary Baptist, Louisiana Family Forum, Loving Saints Christian Fellowship, Massachusetts Family Institute, Minnesota Family Council, Missouri Family Policy Council, Network of Politically Active Christians, Pennsylvania Catholics Network, Pennsylvania Pastors Network, Rose of Sharon Tabernacle, City of Refuge Restoration Church, The Greater Denver Ministerial Alliance, The Latino Coalition, Tradition Family Property, Transforming Florida and Universal Baptist Church.
