Horseshoe Online Casino Brand Goes Live in Pennsylvania And West Virginia

As we near the end of 2024, it's noticeable that U.S. online casino operators are busy jockeying for positions. With a slew of states looking at passing iGaming legislation next year, operators are expanding their reach to build strong resumes for the next round of iGaming licensing.

One of the top U.S. iGaming operators, Caesars International (Digital), is hot on its new Horseshoe Online Casino brand. On the heels of an excellent debut in Michigan on October 7, 2024, Horseshoe is now being released in the states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

In a statement released to the press, Matt Sunderland, Caesars Digital's Senior Vice President and Chief iGaming Officer stated:

"The Horseshoe brand is anchored by a promise to put the player first. A brand with such a storied past deserves an online equivalent that pays respect to the legacy it has established in gaming, and that is what we’ve created with Horseshoe Online Casino."

Horseshoes Becomes Number 23 in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania formally passed online casino gambling legislation in 2013, circumventing federal law in the process. With a significant headstart on the rest of the nation, it makes sense that PA has maintained a leadership position within the U.S. online gambling community. It comes as no surprise that Horseshoe Online Casino would make an early debut in the Keystone State.

With its debut, Horseshoe becomes the 23rd online casino to go live in PA. They join the Tropicana and Caesars Online Casino as iGaming operators that are all operating under the ownership of Caesars Digital. All of these licenses have been secured via a partnership with Harrah's Philadelphia retail casino. I

It's noteworthy that the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) permits common ownership among operators as long as licenses are available. Caesars has certainly taken advantage of this opportunity as they surely will in other states over the coming months and years.

Note: Caesars Online Casino customers will be permitted to transition over to Horseshoe via the same username and password. Horseshoe customers will also be allowed to participate in the Caesars Rewards program.

Horseshoe Also Debuts in West Virgina

As the brand was debuting in PA, the powers to be were also busy introducing Horseshoe Online Casino in West Virginia. The new operator becomes the 10th iGaming operator to offer online casino services in the state.

In a comment to the state regarding expectations for Horseshoe after this release, Caesars Digital's President Eric Hession stated:

"I also would temper the expectations. Horseshoe is a great brand, and we feel like it’s going to resonate with a lot of customers. But Caesars is even a better brand."

For the record, Horseshoe is coming to market with about 700 video slots, more than a dozen table games, and 14 live dealer games from Evolution Gaming. Some of the key online slot tiles included in the mix are Capital Gains, Divine Fortune, and Buffalo Thunder.

All online casino players must be at least 21 years old in both states.
