888 negotiations with William Hill PLC almost done

888 Holdings Public Limited Company, the most notorious gaming firm in the world, has terminated negotiations with William Hill PLC. William Hill had made an offer to 888, meaning that both companies eventually might be joining forces soon. No other details about the offers have been revealed although the sports betting firm from the United Kingdom has recommended a value for this offer. The different elements of company are aiming for different goals. The offer made by William Hill is not being taken seriously by some 888’s stockholders who do not want any share with William Hill. The Board of the Company and 888’s representatives, as well as stockholders, cannot seem to get to an agreement and, therefore, the Board of the Company has decided coming to an end with the negotiations with William Hill, as we can read on the excerpt of the letter published early this week, that can be found on the holding’s site: “Termination of discussions with William Hill PLC. The Company confirmed on 10 February 2015 that it had received an approach regarding a possible offer for the Company by William Hill PLC ("William Hill"), but that there was no certainty that any firm offer would be made nor as to the terms on which any firm offer might be forthcoming”. Brian Mattingley, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, has only said positive things about the gaming firm and nothing at all about the offer from William Hill: "The Company is in good health and continues to trade comfortably in line with expectations. The Company will announce its full year results on 24 March 2015 and the Board of the Company looks forward to the future with confidence”.
