NJ Resorts Casino Hotel opens ever online gaming salon
May 2, 2015
One of New Jersey’s casino icons, Resorts Casino Hotel, has entered the new ear. Since 1978, Resorts Casino Hotel has been part of Atlantic City, continuing the tradition of the gaming industry of the most popular Boardwalk on the US East Coast. Earlier this week, the casino hotel made public its new project, Resorts’ iGaming Lounge. The room offers the latest titles for all kind of devices such as tablets, laptops, and mobile devices, as well as a 160-inch video wall. The official event brought some of the most important dignitaries together, New Jersey Director of the Division of Gaming Enforcement David Rebuck, Resorts President and CEO Mark Giannantonio, and Resorts Principal Owner Morris Bailey.
Resorts President and CEO Mark Giannantonio, commented: “Morris spent much of his childhood here in the city and has a deep desire to see Resorts and Atlantic City prosper. In 2012 Morris brought in Mohegan Sun as an operating partner and minority owner, when it was time to jump into the online gaming market, Resorts insisted on having both our brands represented in the best possible way. As a result, we hired the very best partners to provide the best that online gaming in New Jersey has to offer. Morris would not have it any other way. He truly wants to provide the very best experience for our customers, whether it’s here at our beautiful property on the Boardwalk or playing on a tablet in Hoboken. Morris is committed to his roots and to making Atlantic City rock solid.”
Resorts Principal Owner Morris Bailey, said: “We worked hard to make this vision happen, and the vision had to start with a fundamental belief. That belief is that Atlantic City will end up being one of the most spectacular resorts in the entire country, and I am totally confident that that is happening now. That was the motivation in my being so dedicated to Resorts and Atlantic City. I was born here and when I came back, I got the same feelings walking down that beautiful Boardwalk, looking out into the ocean and looking at an industry that, frankly, never utilized all those wonderful assets Mohegan Sun has been a great strategic partner. And we’re now looking to take the next step. We believe that the casino floor has been pretty stagnant for decades, and it’s time for the casino industry to enter a new generation, a generation that’s involved with online gaming. Online gaming is going to be a tremendous growth factor for this industry. This is a baby industry now, we believe that integrating brick-and-mortar casino clientele together with online gaming clientele is going to be great for both products. Right now we’re going to have a vehicle whereby brick-and-mortar customers can come and feel comfortable and understand what online gaming is, and I think, in addition to that, we’re going to attract a younger generation to the casino floor who will able enjoy an online gaming experience while taking advantage of all the amenities and fun things that we have in Atlantic City. We’re very excited about merging our two brands, Resorts and Mohegan Sun are both well-known, well-loved brands. I think we have an exceptional team and an exceptional product, and we look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the market.”
