WSOP teams up with the NY Rangers

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is not only offering the best tournaments and championships o the world but also becoming one of the most important allies in the battle for the regulation of online gambling industry in the United States. The online poker operator, owned by Caesars Interactive Entertainment, has been backing up the different state legislations that New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada have brought back to the table. During one of the promotion campaigns last week, WSOP announced some sort of partnership with one of the teams from the US National Hockey League (NHL), the New York Rangers.

The online poker franchise became last week the official sponsor of the NY Rangers for this season. The World Series of Poker is offering, until April 5, and only for those within the borders of the US state of New Jersey, promotional codes to win great prizes, such as tickets for the games at home and NY Rangers merchandising, plus a home visit from a former NY Rangers player. The World Series of Poker is not the only one to enter into the sports world in the United States; this strategy has been followed by another operator, Bwin Party, who has also become the sponsor for the NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers, and for the NHL team, the New Jersey Devils. Bwin Party's agreement with both, NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and NHL's New Jersey Devils, will bring several sponsorship contracts to the game, while the online games platform, Bwin Party, can also offer promotions to its players.
