Nevada, the Silver State, one of the gaming states in the US, has reached $8.5M from the online poker industry. The first 10 months of operation has become a reference to other states near Nevada after confirming that the online gaming industry has been banned in favor of the land-based casino and their benefits. The online poker sites from Nevada have generated almost 9 millions of dollars in revenue in only 10 months of operation and, now, the Nevada Gaming Control Board has publicly published this information. There are only three online poker operators licensed in Nevada, the only state that has regulated online poker since April last year 2013. However, state and operators are still fighting the different bans proposed to both, State and US courts, by groups like Sheldon Adelson's new coalition to ban online gambling in the country for the mogul to preserve his monopoly status in Nevada.
The three operators, Ultimate Gaming with its Ultimate Poker room, Real Gaming and WSOP.com have been the first ones to launch their online sites, and, needless to say, the ones that have generated this outstanding revenue in only 10 months. We do still not know who is leading the market although WSOP is, most likely, the leader of the market in Nevada, as Real Gaming is relatively new in this market with its poker room launched recently in February of this year 2014. The other gambling state, New Jersey, is however generating better figures, as the state is not suffering the attacks of groups and coalitions that are trying to ban the online gambling industry out the country's new likelihoods.
