Online casino revenues up 20% in New Jersey
April 16, 2014According to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), New Jersey registered a 2.2% year-on-year fall to €169.2 m in gaming revenue in March, despite a 20% growth of online casino revenues.
New Jersey’s casinos win dropped 7.1% for the year-to-date at the end of March to $221.5 m in March 2014. According to the DGE, the less would be cut to 1.9% if the Atlantic Club were to be excluded from the 2014 results, as the gambling facility shut its doors last January. Despite this disappointing performance, the Garden State’s online gaming operators registered growth in March, with a win increase of 15.2% on a month-on-month basis to $11.9 m, for a total online gambling win for the year of $31.6 m.
