Neteller will provide online casino payments services for Caesars

April 27, 2014

The electronic wallet is in this day and age, one of the most important industries in the world. The several different providers from this financial market have been developing new systems for users to feel free and safe while transferring money between bank accounts and electronic wallets. In the decade of the 90s, the bay area of San Jose saw the boom of the new technologies at the famous Silicon Valley where, companies like PayPal started a lonely journey that has made them the most relevant online companies of the world. Neteller was created at the end of that decade by Optimal Payments PLC as an e-wallet service provider that started first in Canada. It is, along with PayPal, one of the most recognized e-wallet providers in the international gambling industry but had to leave the US market after the enactment of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act that has shut down the US market since 2006. The Executive Vice President of the Business Development division at Optimal, Neil Erlick, has said: "With the addition of our Neteller and Net+ Card stored value offering, we hope to make it even simpler for their customers in regulated gaming markets to do business with this leader in gaming".

The openings of the online gambling markets in Delaware, New Jersey and Nevada have motivated the discontent among the users. Players from these US states are now able to play online at any of the online casino and poker rooms that most of the land-based casinos are launching now. However, methods of payments are still an issue in the United States and the matter is creating a lot of confusion because many banks have decided not to accept any transactions from online gambling operators. The successful online gambling market in the USA is going to suffer again the restrictions from the federal government that has used this same procedure on other industries that are only legal in several states. Nevertheless, the gaming industry in the United States has proven to be one of the most profitable markets in the country. And there is where Caesars Interactive Entertainment comes in. The company has already faced the government in different matters and has been the best advocate for online gambling as well. The company has fought Sheldon Adelson's coalition to stop online gambling, something that has finally proven to Americans that this and other business figures are basically tearing the country apart with the radicalism and extreme ideas. Caesars Interactive Entertainment announced recently that its online casino and poker rooms will be offering payments services through Optimal's Neteller in the states of Nevada and New Jersey. Caesars Interactive Senior Vice President, Marco Ceccarelli, said: "We are thrilled to offer Neteller in both New Jersey and Nevada effective immediately and anticipate this offering will be a popular choice for existing and new customers".
