BetMGM Casino and The Price is Right Brand Form Partnership

The Price is Right game show is as American as apple pie. The show first came to the airwaves 54 years ago with the enthusiastic Bob Barker serving as the game show's lovable host from 1972 to 2007. When Drew Carey took over in 2007, the show didn't skip a beat regarding its popularity among viewers. Note: The Price is Right brand is owned by FreeMantle, the company that also owns Family Feud.

In an exciting turn of events, BetMGM Casino has just announced the signing of a new agreement with FreeMantle to promote a new game to be played on the popular game show. The new game will be called "The Lion's Share," surely a reference to he famous MGM lion.

It's worth noting that this is the first new game to be introduced by The Price is Right's game innovators since 2021. That's the year that he viewing public was introduced to the following games: “Back to ’72” and “To the Penny.”

The Lion's Share will combine The Price is Right's pricing game that requires selected contestants to correctly affirm the prices of five products with an added second gaming level.

For each price that is chosen correctly, contestants will be given a red ball. Four of the red balls have prizes on them, while the fifth ball states "Lose It All." Once contestants are awarded their red balls, the balls will be placed in a wind tunnel. Contestants will then reach into he wind tunnel and attempt to grab as many balls as possible in the allotted time. If they can avoid grabbing the Lose It All ball, they will earn the right to claim the prizes listed on the other secured red ball.

Of course, there is a gambling twist as one might expect from a game connected to one of the nation's top iGaming brands. Contestants will be given a chance to risk or gamble their secured winnings for bigger prizes. The grand prize will be a jackpot worth up to $500,000 in cash, cars, and trips.

In the press release announcement, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost stated:

"BetMGM is always looking for ways to create legendary moments. This collaboration combines the legacy of an iconic game show with the excitement of the BetMGM brand." He later added, "The opportunity for players to win one of the largest prizes in the show’s history reflects BetMGM’s focus on bringing a world of unmatched entertainment to our players.”

The new game is set to premiere on CBS on September 22, 2025.

BetMGM Casino to Rollout Affiliated Video Slots

As part of this new agreement, BetMGM has been licensed to create video slots bearing the names of Freemantle's product. The iGaming operator has already developed proprietary versions of The Price is Right and Family Feud, with the release of The Lion's Share gaming slot coming in 2026.

These games are new to the game show genre, which already includes "Deal or No Deal" and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."
