WPT Enterprises' sale successfully completed

The sale of WPT Enterprises has successfully completed. The poker circuit will now operate as a private enterprise with a great future ahead, starting with a 2021 year full of live events, which kicked-off with the largest WPT Main Tour event in history with 2,482 entries at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in April.

The beginning of the year as seen other records broken down, including at the WPT Venetian, which became the largest $5,000 buy-in event in WPT history with 1,199 entries with a prize pook that reached over $5.5 million. WPTDeepStacks also set a new record for largest prize pool in the tour’s history with $3,288,600 accumulated among 1,512 entries in the WPTDeepStacks Venetian event. Furthermore, the WPT’s collaboration with Poker King on the WPT Heads Up Championship saw 32 top players in classic heads up matches.
