Online poker is big business in the state of New Jersey. There are tens of thousands of players using one of the state's online poker-playing platforms on a regular basis. Note: There are a least six (6) poker platforms licensed to operate in NJ. One of those platforms is Party Poker.
To compete for new business, Party Poker has been running its requisite "welcome bonus" promotion. Here is a quick look at some of the promo's terms and conditions.
The current Party Poker Welcome offer started at the beginning of the year on January 1, 2023. Per the terms and conditions, the offer will continue until it expires on December 31, 2023, at 11:59 pm ET, barring any prior changes from Party Poker's management.
There are two parts to this Welcome package. The first part is a $25 bonus with no deposit required. The $25 bonus will be allocated as follows:
The second part of this bonus package is a deposit matching bonus. The bonus amount is awarded based on 100% of the amount of each new customer's first cash deposit. The max bonus that will be allotted is set at $600.
The matching bonus will have to be earned by playing poker or online casino games. New customers earn the right to $1 of their bonus for every 4 points they earn playing poker or 8 points they earn playing casino games. Since the bonus will be released in increments of 10% of the total bonus amount, new customers will have to accumulate dollars until they hit the 10% threshold. Example: $60 will be released at a time for a $600 deposit bonus.
Once bonus amounts are released, they are deposited as cash into each respective new customer's wagering account. There will be no need to complete any further wagering requirements before customers can withdraw bonus amounts.
In New Jersey, online poker players are required to be at least 21 years old when they open their accounts. They are also required to be on NJ soil when they log into their accounts. It will be up to Party Poker to track the location of its customers at all times. They will be doing this with the latest in geo-tracking software.
