Twinspires Offers Twilight Thursdays Leaderboard Promo at Churchill Downs

With the Kentucky Derby officially in the books for 2023, Churchill Downs will now turn its focus to a regular horse racing schedule. One of the things they will be offering is twilight racing on Thursday evenings. To motivate customers to log in and join in the action, Twinspires is offering its "Twilight Thursdays Leaderboard" Promo. New and existing customers are invited to participate under the following terms and conditions.

The Twinspires Twilight Thursdays Leaderboard Promo will be available every Thursday evening from May 11, 2023, until it expires at the end of the meeting on June 29, 2023. To participate in this weekly leaderboard competition, customers will first need to complete the required opt-in procedure.

This leaderboard will include every race run at Churchill Downs on a Thursday night. Participants can earn points towards the leaderboard by placing a $10 win bet on one horse per race. The first qualifying wager per race will be the one counted. Points will be awarded as follows:

• 100 points if the selected horse wins
  
• 50 points if the selected horse finishes second
  
• 25 points if the selected horse finishes third
  

When the races for the day have concluded, the final standings will be determined. The top five (5) finishers each week will split a prize fund of $2,500 as follows:

• 1st place gets $1,000
  
• 2nd place gets $700
  
• 3rd place gets $500
  
• 4th place gets $200
  
• 5th place gets $100
  

In case of a tie at any of these levels, the winner will be determined by the participant who placed the most "win" bets.

All bonus amounts will be issued as cash by the following Friday. Once the money has been placed in each recipient's wagering account, they will not be obligated to fulfill any further wagering requirements. Therefore, they can withdraw their winnings at any time.

All winnings are subject to being reported to the IRS via a form 1099G. If that happens, recipients will need to include said winnings on their 2023 tax returns.

By law, Twinspires is only permitted to open its horse race betting platform in states where such online gambling activities have been legalized. Also, participation will be limited to customers who meet their respective state's minimum online gambling age requirement. As a point of reference, that age has been set at 21 years old in most states across the U.S.
