$3,000 Los Alamitos Leaderboard Promo Being Offered by Twinspires

With the Del Mar Summer Meet officially in the books, the Southern California racing season will be moving to Los Alamitos Racecourse for a short two-week meet. With the start of every horse racing meet, the management staff at Twinspires makes an effort to put forth a bonus promotion that might inspire U.S. horseplayers to wager on races at the new horse racing meet. That is exactly why Twinspires is offering a weekly “$3,000 Los Alamitos Leaderboard” competition. Prospective participants from all over the U.S. can read about the details of this offer below.

This weekly $3,000 Los Alamitos Leaderboard promo will be run over two weeks with the first week running from September 16, 2022, until September 18, 2022, with the second week running from September 22, 2022, until September 25, 2022. In order for horseplayers to participate in one or both of these weekly competitions, they will need to go through an opt-in process.

Qualifying wagers will be counted as the first $10 win wager on each race during the weekly competition. Using the horse that was wagered on, points will be awarded based on where that horse finishes as follows: a first-place finish = 50 points, a second-place finish = 25 points, and a third-place finish = 10 points.

At the end of each week, the final points will be tallied and all participants ranked accordingly. The top 20 horseplayers from each week will get an allotted share of the total $3,000 prize pool. The prize pool will be distributed as follows:

• 1st place = $1,000
  
• 2nd place = $500
  
• 3rd place = $300
  
• 4th to 10th place = $100
  
• 11th to 20th place = $50
  

All prizes will be issued within 24 hours after the weekly leaderboard competition has been completed. All prizes will be awarded as cash, which means recipients will not need to fulfill any playthrough wagering requirements before they will be allowed to withdraw their winnings. Since the winner’s portion exceeds the IRS’ $600 limit, that person will need to claim their winnings on their 2022 tax return.

Twinspires is available in states where the state government has approved online horse race wagering. Twinspires does track horseplayer locations through the use of geo-tracking software.
