Winter horse racing in Kentucky means one thing. It means that horse racing fans will get a chance to enjoy betting on full fields at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky. As a little added motivation for U.S. horseplayers to bet on the Turfway races on Thursday nights, Twinspires has decided it would be fun and interesting to sponsor a Leaderboard Contest bonus promotion. If anyone would be interested in participating in the promotion, it would be a good idea to first review the following promo terms and conditions.

The Twinspires Turfway Park Thursday Leaderboard contest will be available every Thursday night in the Month of January, starting on January 5, 2023, and finally ending on January 26, 2023. Before any Twinspires customers will be permitted to take part in the contest, they will need to find the bonus information and go through the prescribed opt-in process. Here is how each weekly contest works.

Each participant will need to place a $10 win wager on each Thursday night race at Turfway Park. Only the first such bet per race will be counted towards this contest. Based on each bet, participants will receive points based on where their horse finishes. Points will be awarded as follows:

• 100 points for a 1st place finish
  
• 50 points for a 2nd place finish
  
• 25 points for a 3rd place finish
  

At the end of each Thursday night’s races, the total points will be calculated and contest leaders listed in order. The top 10 finishers each week will be earning a share of a total prize fund that is set at $2,500 a week. Here are how the funds will be distributed:

• 1st place gets $1,000
  
• 2nd place gets $600
  
• 3rd place gets $350
  
• 4th place gets $200
  
• 5th place gets $100
  
• 6th place through 10th place gets $50
  

The money will be distributed as cash on the Friday following Thursday night’s races. Since the money is being awarded as cash, bonus recipients will not have to comply with any wagering requirements. What they will have to do is report winnings over $600 to the IRS on their 2023 tax returns.

Twinspires is only permitted to provide horse race betting services in states where the proper legislation has been passed.

Each participant will need to meet the minimum online gambling age in their respective states. In most states, that age is currently 21 years old.
