FanDuel's King Of the Ice Tournament: Guaranteed Prize Pool of $250,000

FanDuel's King of the Ice tournament is one of the largest and most exciting fantasy hockey tournaments of the year, with opportunities for novices and seasoned veterans alike, and a giant pot of money at the end.
Up to 926 players will compete for shares of a $250,000 prize, with 156 positions paying out to their respective players. The ultimate winner of the face-off can expect to take home a cool $50,000, all the way down to a still respectable $700 payday for several dozen placers at the bottom.

The competition isn’t for just everyone, either. To a secure a seat you’ll have to prove yourself in one of the Satellite contests being run throughout the weeks leading up to the contest, or buy in for $300 before the contest starts, if there are still seats available.

This year an individual FanDuel player may hold no more than 60 seats for the King of the Ice tournament. Though an impressive number, if last year’s chaotic and exciting action is in any indication it’s doubtful anyone will be able to secure more than 15 or 25, making it one of the most fun and wide-open fantasy tournaments going on.

The contest opens on April 2nd, is open to the site’s members, and uses the standard FanDuel NHL scoring system.
