In recent years, Colonial Down in Virginia has successfully upgraded its racing facility and purses. This has resulted in the race track being able to offer a better horse racing product for horseplayers all over the U.S. This has driven management at Twinspires to create a very special bonus promotion tied to racing at Colonial Downs. Here are some of the details associated with the Twinspires "Colonial Downs $3K Saturday Challenge."

The Twinspires Colonial Downs $3K Saturday Challenge was first introduced to U.S.-based horseplayers on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The offer will remain available every Saturday until the Colonial Downs meet comes to an end. The last Saturday will be September 9, 2023. To participate, Twinspires customers will need to find the promo logo and go through a quick opt-in process. The promotion works as follows.

Every Saturday, Twinspires will post up to five (5) qualifying races from Colonial Downs. Participants will need to place one (1) wager of $10 or more on all of the listed races. Qualifying wagers must be win bets only. The first qualifying wager placed on each race will count towards this promo.

The participant or participants who hit a winning bet on all five races will get or spilt (equally) a prize fund of $3K. If no one hits all five (5) races, the money will be split equally between the participants who hit the most winning tickets.

The winners can expect to get their bonus monies on the following Monday. All bonuses will be paid in cash that does not carry with it any further wagering requirement. The bonus winnings can be withdrawn at any time after receipt. If winnings exceed the IRS' gambling income threshold of $1,200, the winnings will be reported to the IRS and must be claimed on the winner's 2023 tax returns.

Other Terms and Conditions

Twinspires is only allowed to operate in states that allow their residents to use online horse race betting platforms. Customers must be in one of those states when they open their accounts, make deposits/withdrawals, and place wagers.

Twinspires makes use of the latest geo-tracking software to confirm the location of logged-in customers.

All states require that online horseplayers be at least 21 years old.

Twinspires is not permitted by law to allow employees and employee relatives to participate in bonus promos. The same exclusion is extended to people who work with Twinspires affiliates and advertisers.
